After two months of searching for internships in cricket analytics, I was eager to kickstart my career in the sports industry in Australia. Fortunately, Mr. Shannon Young, the Founder of Young Gun Cricket, Cricket Performance Lab, and Per4orm, opened doors for me by offering an incredible opportunity.

At CPL, I was introduced to cutting-edge cricket technology and key concepts that were entirely new to me, such as Bat Fitting metrics like Bat Speed, Bat Velocity, Exit Velocity, and Launch Angle. I also had the chance to work with world-class tools that were instrumental in refining these metrics. This experience became the launchpad for my career in Australia, marking the beginning of a journey that has been both challenging and rewarding.

Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of learning from Shannon Sir and Chris, who have shared their extensive knowledge and experience in cricket technology and business. Together, we focused on Bat Fittings, a specialized area that has become a cornerstone of CPL’s offerings. Understanding the intricate details of how this process works, from the science behind the metrics to the hands-on application, was eye-opening and helped me appreciate the precision and dedication required to make CPL stand out in the industry.

Recognizing the potential to expand CPL’s reach, I was promoted to manage the social media operations for CPL. Our collective efforts in digital marketing significantly boosted the brand’s visibility, attracting both local and international cricketers. Notably, renowned players like Marnus Labuschagne and Shan Masood came to CPL for Bat Fittings after seeing the growth of our social media presence.
